UTSA Grad Cake

I only have one picture of this cake, but I hope to get a couple more. I forgot my camera, so someone else had to take the pictures! This is a graduation cake that I did for one of my employees' graduation. It was my first tiered cake, so it was a lot of fun to experiment with!

Flip Flop Cake

I made this cake for a birthday party for one of my aunt's friends. The "sand" around the cake is light brown sugar, and the base of the flip flops is the cake.

Fish Cake

I made this cake for my cousin, Brooke's, 6th birthday party. I modeled the cake after the pictured invitation, and also made a gluten-free sun cake, since she has Celiac's. This was a much better free-hand carved cake, and I think it came out really well. There was a sheen of luster dust on the fish that doesn't really translate in the photos, but it was really cool looking.

Jack Daniels and Poker

Another cake made for one of my employees. It was his 21st birthday, and he enjoys poker, so I thought this was a perfect combination of the two. I made the cards and poker chips out of fondant, and the writing on the cards was done with food coloring markers, so it was 100% edible. My best friend, Shannon did all of the piping, and she did a really great job! It was my first attempt at free-hand carving a cake, so it came out pretty rough, but my later cakes have improved. Definitely a learning experience!!!

Brown and Turquoise Gift Box

This was the third cake I did, and the second gift box cake. It was for two of my employees in December.

Pink and Black Gift Box

Unfortunately, I did not take a picture of my first cake, but this was my second cake. I made it for my best friend, Shannon's, birthday party.
