I made this cake for a birthday party for one of my aunt's friends. The "sand" around the cake is light brown sugar, and the base of the flip flops is the cake.
I started making cakes in November of 2008. Originally, I did it just to see if I could, but I guess it has really taken off from there. I have no formal training and am self-taught, but I love learning new techniques and trying new things with my cakes.
